| I just wanted to recommend a really good feature article that appeared in Macleans a couple of weeks ago. It's about the genocide in Darfur. It's a long read, but it's well written and important. http://www.macleans.ca/topstories/world/article.jsp?content=20061211_137961_137961 |

| Pretty cool things are happening in Calgary. Here are someones renderings of the skyline in 2010 based on proposed and approved projects. All credit to someone named Devin that goes by the tag of CtrlAltDelete on the skyscraperpage.com

| I finally got around to posting some of my pictures of my not-so-recent trip to Victoria. Click HERE to see them. You can also click on the picture if you want to see a larger version of it. |

| Hmmm...I think I should be more diligent about blogging. Not! Well, at least not now. Today I shall post a neat link that I find very interesting. Calgary is growing by leaps and bounds and this is reflected in all the new construction. This link shows renderings and pictures of many of the projects that are being built in Calgary. The numbers are mind boggling.
Clicky Here
Too bad there isn't more information about the Calgary Zoos expansion.

| This trip has been great and even better because I know this is my last trip for my current employer. It is very freeing knowing that all the problems with the system and the future work won’t involve me.
So, as my time ends I will take a minute to reflect upon my time here.
Things I liked about Mexico City:
- Trying Escamoles (Ant larvae) for the first and probably only time.
- The number of Volkswagens around. I’m glad they don’t play that “punch buggy” game.
- The friendly staff at the Fiesta Inn. I liked that they knew me by my name “Mr. Pung”.
- The dynamic history of the area.
- Crazy Taxi drivers that could probably win a NASCAR race.
- Bottled water.
- The hospitality of the people that I’ve met here.
- Soccer fanatics that didn’t stop singing even when the team was losing.
- Being able to buy freezie pops at a stop light.
- Lucha!
- Wal-Mart
Things I didn’t like:
- Tortas. Too greasy and too often
- I couldn’t have a salad for fear of Montezuma’s revenge.
- Zona Rosa or the “Pink Zone”. Too many rainbow establishments.
- Gross sushi.
- No hockey highlights on the Sports Desk.
- Over 20 million people in one city.
- Wal-Mart
